Finally took delivery of the Subaru today.

My wife likes it, I like it even if i only got to short drive with it.

So far my only complaint is the infotainment. Tried to link my iPhone 7 with it but didn’t get the star link to work yet. To be fair I tried for 2 minutes.

First mod will be a Evo one remote starter with the evo- start2 to be able to remote start it any where there is cell coverage.

I somehow ended up going full CVT, our 2 cars (the Elantra will eventually be sold) my snowmobile and my side by side. And extra white....

I still have to take my Subaru to the dealership when I need to synchronize a new phone to our 2013 outback. The instructions in the manual are straight up wrong.

dumb question, are you using an official lightning cable or good alternative? When I got my volt the salesman made a comment that the cheap ones, don’t sync well. I dismissed it.

For a while I was using an official one, worked fine switch to the knock off 4 for $10, and crap syncing.

I didn’t even look in the manual yet, I thought since I work in IT I should be able to figure it out quickly, but it was about 11pm and it was cold outside so I gave up after 2 minutes

IIRC the car can only remember two phones at once and it won’t overwrite an old phone, so you have to first tell it to forget the old phones. Then you can go about syncing the new phones in some convoluted fashion.

I would imagine youtube will be more helpful than a manual in this case.

I will say when it does work it works really well.
